It's the most wonderful time of the year! Beautycounter Holiday Launch Day (part 1)!
So what sparks joy for me after sitting home for a few weeks recovering from double mastectomy surgery??? Christmas and the upcoming Holiday Season! Now I know many of you are missing summer, but fall through winter is my FAVORITE time of year! We haven't had a fall in Virginia for a few years and this year we are getting some beautiful weather! Cool Crisp nights, with warmer days! What is your favorite part of this time of the year?
Growing up in New Jersey, I was blessed to get to go to New York at Christmas time and I can say if you haven't been to New York during the holidays, you need to put that on your bucket list! So many things to see to put you in the holiday spirit! My friend Tara and I would take the bus in and walk down to 34th Street. Our 1st stop was Macy's. It is the coolest building with the antique working wooden escalators and even as adults you can go and visit Santa! From there we would walk to 5th Avenue and walk north looking at all the holiday window displays, they were always so beautifully decorated. Next stop was Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree! It is always spectacular and the skaters and decorations make it all the more amazing! We would also walk over to FAO Schwartz toy store to turn back time and feel like a kid again. Another additional stop on many of my trips to New York City during this time of year was to go see one of the many holiday shows.... Radio City Music Hall's Christmas Spectacular or the New York City Ballet's Nutcracker. Always a wonderful time that I highly recommend!
